Japan ferrari crash update.

This might the new most expensive car crash ever with a total of eight Ferraris, a Lamborghini and two Mercedes involved in a monster crash in Japan. According to reports the accident happened when one of the drivers lost control of his Ferrari while trying to change lanes and collided with the other cars. The accident occurred on the rain-soaked Chugoku Expressway in Yamaguchi Prefecture on the island of Honshu.

Fortunately no one out of the 14 cars involved died, although 10 were taken to the hospital. Sadly as you can tell from the pictures most of the cars involved are damaged beyond repair. According to Bloomberg, the 60-year old man suspected of causing the accident could face up to three months in jail.

Blonde's Costly car crash

Here are the pictures:
The crowd couldn't help it but snap away.
The Blonde and her friend couldn't help but stay in the car.
More Paparazzi shots at the record breaking scene.

 OMG!

This dude in shades couldn't help it either.

The World's Most Expensive car wash.

According to the Daily mail, the worlds most expensive car wash is in Dubai and it offers  a weeklong "spa" treatment for autos and costs around $15,000 per week.
The company, Monza Ultimate Dealing and Protection, only services top tier automobiles such as Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Rolls Royce.
The cleaning method uses a cutting-edge nanotechnology technique that completely avoids any human contact with the car, eliminating the prospect of fingerprints.
Staff are trained for six months and use microscopes to get rid of small specks of dirt not visible to the naked eye, according to the Daily Mail.
Monza owner, Federick Faidhi, told the paper:
I strongly believe it's a tragedy when someone spends so much money on a magnificent car and then ends up going in to a petrol station or washing it at home with normal tap water.
We don't fade scratches and the swell marks, we eliminate them.
Hmmmmm !!! Nothing feels like a sexy females hands though.

18,000 Customers Worldwide orders Range Rover Evoque in Advance

The launch of the Range Rover Evoque is just one of 40 new product actions that Jaguar Land Rover will carry out in the next five years in the most ambitious market offensive in the history of its two brands. This product creation programme is supported by annual investment of £1.5 billion in developing new models, engines, technologies and vehicle lines.

The first production vehicle of the new Range Rover Evoque has been driven off the line at Land Rover’s Halewood manufacturing plant in Liverpool. It will be donated to the British Motor Industry Heritage trust.

"The Evoque is an incredibly exciting vehicle that joins a product range which across both of our brands is the strongest we have ever had – and it fits in perfectly." commented Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Executive Officer." The teams that have designed engineered and built the new Evoque, working together with our research and supplier partners, can be immensely proud of their achievement. Worldwide interest in our new car has been exceptional, with 18,000 customer orders received from customers eager to be among the first to own the new Range Rover.

Halewood Operations is central to the success of the Evoque, with the workforce doubling to more than 3,000 employees in order to deliver the new model. Seventy-five per cent of production is destined for export to more than 170 countries around the world, adding around £2 billion to the UK economy. Moreover, 50 per cent of the components in new Evoque are made in Britain, with contracts worth another £2 billion awarded to more than 40 UK supplier businesses.

“It is a groundbreaking product, a Range Rover with concept car looks, lightweight technologies and the capability to deliver 50mpg fuel economy. At the same time it’s still a true Range Rover that’s agile, nimble, designed to survive in the urban jungle and capable of tackling the toughest climates and terrains thanks to Land Rover’s legendary all-wheel drive expertise.” Speth added

Jaguar XF makes a trip from factory to Germany on a single Tank of Diesel.

LUXURY cars and low-cost motoring are two phrases that don't usually go together - but the new Jaguar XF might just change that.
The XF, equipped with a 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine, promises to be the most efficient Jaguar yet produced.
And to prove it, Jaguar has completed an epic journey from the factory in which it was created at Castle Bromwich in Birmingham, to Munich - a distance of 816 miles - on a single tank of diesel.
The XF passed through four countries, taking in a mix of winding country roads, motorways and dense urban traffic. The XF, with just over 3,000 miles on the clock at the point of departure, consumed just 64 litres of fuel to average a remarkable 57 mpg.
Despite its keen focus on economy, the XF 2.2 produces 190 PS and 332 lb ft of torque, allowing the XF to accelerate from rest to 62mph in just 8.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 140mph.
The XF 2.2 emits just 149g/km of CO2.

Hamilton says future Formula 1 contract demands to shock McLaren team

‎Even as he finishes 4th at the 2011 Britain - Formula 1 race result Lewis Hamilton has revealed he will demand a less arduous off track schedule when he negotiates a new Formula One contract with McLaren.

The 2008 World Champion's current deal includes 2012, but it emerged last week that a success related break clause could open the door for a switch to Red Bull.

However, Christian Horner on Saturday estimated the chance of a Sebastian Vettel/Hamilton line-up next year as "slim to nil", at the same time as a frustrated Hamilton was publicly laying out his demands for a new deal at McLaren.

"When I re-sign the contract with McLaren they are going to be shocked at how many days they are not going to be able to make me do," Hamilton told reporters after qualifying tenth near the end of a demanding pre-Silverstone media and sponsor schedule.

"I will be doing a lot less work. There is definitely a danger of burn-out," said the Briton.

Hamilton, who has had a poor run of results and been the subject of intense speculation as well as criticism recently, admitted he is looking forward to Formula 1's August break.

"It is nice to know I have got that coming up," said the 26 year old, admitting he feels "older" than 30. "Am I tired?  Um, maybe. Have I trained?  No, never trained for the past two weeks.

"But what's important is that the sponsors are happy," he quipped.

The comments mean McLaren's PR machine might need to roll out again in the wake of the Santander Formula 1 British Grand Prix, particularly as Hamilton has reverted to pessimism about his chances of success.

"I think we might have run out of miracles," said the Briton. "I think I drove the car as well as I could. It's going to be a long, long season."

Even his McLaren crew did not escape criticism.

"It was a poor performance," said Hamilton after qualifying tenth. "I can't see the weather forecast from inside my car but I kept asking my guy 'What's the weather doing?'

"Everyone else went out on new tyres, while I was out on old ones."

But even team boss Martin Whitmarsh admitted that the championship is no longer the main focus.

"To say we are concentrating on winning championships would be the wrong focus. We have to concentrate on winning races again," he said.

Jaguar E Type celebrates 50 years.

Launched in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type will be celebrating its 50th birthday at this year’s Silverstone Classic (July 22-24) with a host of special races and displays. Jaguar owners clubs in the UK are forecasting the greatest showing of Jaguar E-Types ever assembled, with a large number of examples to be brought from all over the world.

The on-track schedule includes two races dedicated solely to competition versions of the Jaguar E-Type, while a record grid of more than 50 race-prepared E-Types is predicted. In total, more than a thousand racing and road-going E-Types are expected to join the event.
“With so many E-Types on and off the track, it’s going to be a fantastic occasion – the world’s biggest and best celebration for one of the truly great sports cars,” said Nick Wigley, Event Director. “What’s more, the Silverstone Classic offers the perfect place and timing for the world to celebrate such an important milestone in automotive history. After all Jaguar designed and produced the E-Types just up the road at Browns Lane in Coventry and the very first UK sales commenced in July 1961. It’s going to be an absolutely amazing occasion – a party no classic car fan will want to miss.”
Highlighting the legendary Jaguar’s central role at this year’s Silverstone Classic, one of the very first Jaguar E-Types produced was featured on the event’s exhibition stand earlier this month at the Autosport Show International.
The historic car on display was the eleventh Jaguar E-Type car made, one of the many contesting the two HSCC Jaguar E-Type Challenge races at the Silverstone Classic in July. These early pre-production cars were sold to selected customers who would race them.
